Different from logical reasoning, scientific reasoning is substantive reasoning based on evidences. In scientific research, scientific reasoning is an important scientific habit of mind.Analyzing three teaching passages in this article, it is reported that scientific reasoning, including evidences and scientific reasoning skills, is absent in the course of science teaching. And then it is necessary to think what causes the absence? Data is the entrance of reasoning. It is very important for us to develop the ability of collecting and analyzing data. And then, students will reason from data, and develop scientific reasoning skills and provide with knowledge for solving problems and making informed decisions under the instruct. After several rounds of scientific reasoning exercises, students'three-dimensional goals of scientific literacy have been achieved. After this, students gradually form high-level theoretical concepts. And then scientific reasoning can be progressed successfully under the direction of the concepts. Experiencing the series of scientific reasoning, scientific habits of mind are developed, as scientists'way of thinking.
