The Compare Of Fast Break Applied By China And Foreign Teams In The 15th World Men's Basketball Championship

China Team, with its powerful inside, just win two matches, while lose four matches in the 15th World Men's Basketball Championship in 2006, ranking the 15th of 16 teams in the semi-finals. After analyzing the video game and technological statistics, it is easy to find that China Team use few fast break tactics, getting poor achievements, which became one of the prominent factors in influencing the achievements of China Team.This paper use the methods of literature data, mathematical statistics, and so on to sum up and analyze the fast breaks appeared in the matches between China Team and its competitors and among the top eight teams in the15th World Men's Basketball Championship. The results are as follows:(1) Fast break tactic is always the main method of getting points, it is also the key method for China Team to win before, so it attaches an important role.(2)In this Championship the average height of the first attending players and the whole of China Team are the highest, so how to accelerate the speed and combine the height and speed to get more fast break points is the urgency problem China Team needs to solve.(3)China Team is far behind the top four teams in the times of fast breaks and the points caused by fast breaks in the averaged section. Chinese Team launch the main form of fast break in rebounds and need a lot of time, especially there is a great difference in steals between China Team and the top four. (4) China Team launch rebounds of fast break with a low rate and the performance of fewer people cooperating and moving late, mainly in ways of cross-pass and returning to the main ball. There is great difference between China Team and its rivals in the steals and then fast breaking. China Team's impounded break is essentially different from fast break that the United States team takes initiatively and quickly. (5) China Team uses a large mount of 3-pointers and the effect is good. (6)China Team lack members with mediate and low height who have the ability of personal breakthrough and fast break, at the same time there is great difference between Chinese members and those in the strong teams of the world in the ability and decisiveness of shooting fast break.Suggestions: (1) From the ideological and cognitive point, to lay stress on training and application of fast break. (2) Maintaining the advantage of the height, China Team should lay stress on the development of speed. (3) Only to enhance the overall, offensive and oppressive defense, could China Team get more fast-break opportunities. In the training, the trainer should give detail and obvious requirement about fast break and enrich the means of fast break. At the end of fast break, we must not only stress the advantage of quality but also focus on developing individual capacities and location advantages. (4) China Team should strengthen the mental, psychological and body training. (5) To strengthen the comparative study of fast-break and training methods home and abroad.
