The 15th Men World Basketball Tournament has finished in Japan, the "Ming-Zhi" Combination reported hotly by the media before the games didn't realize a historical breakthrough. After six rounds ranging from group games to quarterfinal, the Chinese team finished, no entry into the Eight Mights, with two wins and four defeats. In the games, even we have the great inside Yao Ming who got the top goal average in the World Tournament, a serious imbalance occurred between the inside and the outside players because of the poor performance of our outside players. This article was particularly based on the spot performance of the outside players of the Chinese Men Basketball Team and that of the opponents in the world tournament. The aim is to get a quantitative and qualitative analysis through comparing and analyzing the relevant factors on attacking capability, as well as through a comparative study under the corresponding standards. The result of the study will be of beneficial for the reference of the future training and games that the Chinese Men Basketball forward players will have.The research methods used in the article include: a review of the literature, interviews with the experts, questionnaires, video observation statistics and mathematical statistics. The findings show that the shot ratio of the field goal of the Chinese outside players and the shot ratio and the attacking times of the inside players are both lower than those of foreign opponents; the triple shot ratio and the panel shot ratio are both slightly higher than those of foreign opponents; the total score of attacking is lower; the Chinese men players' ability of holding and controlling the ball is poor; and the far worse is the use of pass and change of the Chinese players.The article presents some strategies of improving the attacking ability of the Chinese men players. These strategies include: to increase the shot awareness of the Chinese players; to increase their individual attacking awareness; to score against strong interference; to promote the players' physical training directed at a better countering ability and comprehensive skills in every positions; to enhance their psychological quality and determination; to improve the basic matching awareness; to improve the ability of "moving attack"; to learn from foreign teams and study their advantages; to highlight their original skills.
