Introduction And Analysis To The Development Of National Teacher Examinations (NTE) Of The US

National Teacher Examination (NTE) is one of the most influential teacher tests in the history of US; It had a very profound history background. In this thesis, the developing backgrounds of NTE were introduced, including different kinds of teacher tests in the history, and the social, economical and cultural factors in 1930s and 1040s. Based on the research results of other people, the developing situation of NTE in different times was introduced, and the impacting factors were analyzed. NTE played a very significant role in the teacher education of US, and its affect to teacher certification, education colleges and teacher supply was analyzed. At last, the NTE was replaced bynew forms teacher examinations-----Praxis Series. The contents and testing technologywas introduced, and the relationship between the NTE and Praxis Series was given.
