The Feasibility Of Setting Beach Sport Elective Courses In Natural Sand Beach In Colleges Of China's Coastal Cities

Beach sport is a fashionable sport in the world, and as a synonym for"blue sky, blue sea, sunshine and sand"beach sport has become people's favorite sports because of its competition, art, view and admire and fun. Beach sport embodies the characteristics of the combination between human and nature, and it satisfies the college students'needs of returning to nature in modern life. Not only can college students take exercises, but also they can gain the fun of activities in the nature while receiving physical education. Beach sport courses set in college meet the fitness needs of college students in the new century and are practical and valuable.This thesis adopts the research methods of literature, interviews, investigation, mathematical statistics, and logic analysis and so on and comprehensively discusses that beach sport courses are set in the natural beach in the college of China's coastal cities. This thesis discusses and analyzes functions of beach sports in college physical education and combines its development and the cultivation of college students'overall quality, and also analyzes the function for improving college students'overall quality on the basis of theoretical and empirical studies. This thesis studies and analyzes form the following four parts:1. Origin, development and research status of beach sport.2. The necessity and feasibility of setting beach sport courses in natural sand beach in colleges of China's coastal cities.3. Problems and solutions existing in setting beach sport courses in natural sand beach in colleges of China's coastal cities.4. Design for beach sport curriculum.There is a wide area of the beach in China's coastal cities, which provides a favorable natural advantage for developing beach sport. At present, parts of colleges available in China, especially colleges in coastal cities have imported beach volleyball, beach soccer, and other beach sports as college physical education courses, but they are all set in the campuses of colleges. Through comprehensive research analysis, this thesis aims at providing a theoretical basis for China's coastal cities to make use of natural sand beach to develop beach sport as elective classes.
