A Study Of Internet Moral Education For University Students

With the advent of the 21st century, the Internet has been transforming the way we live and study. Its antenna has spread into every corner of the campus. While promoting the spirit of cooperation and share, socializing of the political participation, and the shift of the modern citizen's role on the part of the university students, the Internet, characteristic of interaction, equality, diversity and extensiveness, has caused value distortion.Moral education has a long history and fairly systematic theoretical structure. In the face of the Internet with a new battlefield, new environment and new challenges, the moral education of the university students on the Internet cannot simply treat the Internet as an instrument. Instead, we should have a good understanding of the virtual space as to undertake researches on the problems brought by the Internet. The Internet moral education should not be conducted on the Internet alone. It should fall into the field which the traditional moral education is responsible for. The Internet moral education should cover the education of cyber civility and the cultivation of the ability to handle information apart from the ideology education and moral education covered by the traditional moral education.Based on the China Internet Development Report, this thesis points out that the Internet has a profound influence on university students' life, study and ideology, and explores the reasons behind the close relationship between university students and the Internet. Then it brings out problems caused by Internet moral education for university students and puts forward the concept of Internet moral education for university students and its theoretical basis based on theories concerning the previous moral education and Internet moral education. After that the thesis undertakes an in-depth study of the opportunities provided by the Internet and discovers the unfavorable elements and potential problems. Finally, it examines some thorny relation and problems arising from the special built-in nature of the Internet moral education. Meanwhile it puts forth the key points of university students Internet moral education on the basis of the moral education and some strategies concerning the Internet moral education.
