Problem-solving is the core of mathematics education. Ever since 1990s, research on visualization representation has become a hot topic in fields such as cognitive science with integration of ICT in education. Likely, with integration of ICT in Mathematics instruction, representation, especially visualization representation has now become the main subject of the international group for the psychology of mathematics education (PME). However, the research on visualization representation is needed to extend both in theory and its application. The thesis consists of theory research and positive research. Triangulation research method is adopted to verify reliability and validity of the research. In view of theory research, based on cognitive load theory, the thesis employs theory analysis that is main method supplemented by experience and case analysis, in order to probe into visualization teaching strategies in the mathematics problem solving, which are⑴visualize the implied condition of the problem;⑵visualize the ways of thinking of the problem solving;⑶Facilitate and enhance students'self-monitoring;⑷information package strategies. In view of positive research, the thesis employs quasi-experiment that is main method supplemented by investigation, interview, case study and other research methods, in order to probe into the"actual"significance and value of visualization teaching strategies in the mathematics problem solving. The outcome of the experimental research shows: compared with ordinary teaching strategies, the visualization teaching strategies can upgrade significantly learning achievement and reduce significantly cognitive load in mathematics problem solving learning.
