Comparative Study On Defensive Ability Of Outside-players Between China And Foreign Countries In The 15^th Men's Basketball Championships

The 15^th Men's Basketball Championships have already been over, and the Chinese men's basketball team has only won Senegal and Slovenia. We had been defeated in other four games. As a result, the man who concerned about the Chinese men's basketball should review the gap between the Chinese and other teams. It should be said that lose the game has many reasons. However, it is worth mentioning that Chinese team has not achieved better results, even we have Yao Ming who was evaluated as the best center of this play. The problem is that Chinese outside-players have poor strength.The findings of this paper are based on the facts that the outside-players of Chinese men's basketball team and the outside-players of other teams in the competitions, and by the analysis about the defense abilities we set up some concern corresponding index, in order to get the quantitative and qualitative results. Therefore, it can provide the beneficial reference to outside-players of Chinese men's basketball team training and games. In the course of study several research methods are used in this paper. Such as the literature research method, experts interviewing method, experts questionnaire survey, video observational method, mathematical statistics, comparative analysis etc. Then we draw the conclusions as follows:(1)Chinese team outside-players are far blew the other teams on the defense pass abilities included forced the players stopped, forced hurried passing ball, interfered the pass to threatened region, steal and pass turnovers. Chinese team is less than the other teams on the defense dribbling abilities included forced the rivals dribble to corner, created the rivals dribbled turnovers, forced the rivals passive to stop, the percentage of interfered dribbling, steal and defense foul.(2)There is the gap between Chinese team and the other teams outside-players on the defense breakthrough abilities included no interfered the shooting after the rivals breakthrough, no interfered the passing after the rivals breakthrough, steal and defense foul. In the defense shooting field, Chinese team outside-players to the intensity of the lack of opponents, and the ability of defense fast-moving shooting is poor.(3)Chinese team outside-players are far blew the other teams on defense players without the ball cut to receiving after shake-off to receiving, after passing to cut and receiving the ball. In the defense rebound field, Chinese team outside-players are less than the other teams on defense rebound.(4) On the aspect of the quality of applying defense tactics, when they used the tactics zonal defense, they couldn't effectively prevent rivals from getting scores, which indicates that Chinese team outside-players' coordination and integrity were poorer, and that defense-offence diversion was slower.(5)On the aspect of defense fast break, the number of players withdrawing defense was lower when defending fast break; the effect of defense was poorer than rivals.
