On The Phenomenon Of Religious Beliefs In Contemporary College Students

Since reform and opening up, as the development of "religious craze", the religious phenomenon in contemporary college students is also gradually becoming the focus of attention by the people and the colleges. The religious phenomenon in young college students is not accidental, it had suffered from the effects of various factors and implications. In this thesis, based on the Ideological and Political Education, Sociology, the Science of Youth etc, the thesis firstly conducts a review of the previous study on the religious phenomenon in contemporary college students. Then through the survey and interviews in current college students of several universities in Fuzhou, Fujian Province,we explore the situation and characteristics of believers, and the influences by the religion in college students. Then I will try to analyze the causes of the phenomenon in college students from the social environment, family background, school education and personal factors and so on. Finally, the thesis pointed out that in a rational examination of the phenomenon of religious students, we should establish a Marxist religion, and nurture the spirit of science and the humane spirit, enhance the validity of ideological and political work in the college students and other ways to promote scientific belief construction of college students.
