Since 1997, the education of Ed.M has passed through ten years, and it acquired quick development within this decade. The unit of the cultivation of educational masters has increased from 16 to 57 until now. From 2003, comprehensive universities have been beginning to cultivate educational masters as an important power. But they lacked to deep into the quest, just mechanically copied the training mode of educational masters in normal universities, so it emerged many problems. The text mainly researches the cultivation of educational masters in comprehensive universities, discovers and analyzes problems, attempts to construct special training mode for reference to them, goes a step further for theories sustenance to the development of education of Ed.M in our country.This paper is divided into five parts:The first part is introduction. This part mainly includes the background and the significance of the research, research overview, research ideas, research methods and the definition of relative concepts.The second part mainly researches the present situation of the cultivation of educational masters in comprehensive universities by combining qualitative and quantitative analysis method, basing on the investigating questionnaires and interviews.The third part mainly analyzes problems in the course of cultivation of educational masters basing on the present situation in comprehensive universities. It mainly includes several aspects: The training objective is abstract and indistinct, and the comprehension of the applied talents is unilateral; the course lacks the extension, and its contents and construction are unreasonable; Teaching method is unitary and lacks of characteristic; the professional teachers are short, and the guiding of teachers can't meet the requirements of students; Training pattern of concentrative learning is unsatisfied.The fourth part is mainly compared with the cultivation of educational masters in normal universities. By analyzing the successful experience and shortage of the cultivation of educational masters in normal universities, we reflect the cultivation of educational masters in comprehensive universities. Its predicament is because of lacking to explore. And its exit consists in exploring special training mode of the cultivation of educational masters.The final part is the core of this paper. It mainly attempts to construct the training mode of the cultivation of educational masters in comprehensive universities. Firstly it analyzes the theories foundation of the construction of training mode. Then it reflects the training objective of the education of Ed.M combining the present situation and problems in comprehensive universities. It relocates it as research-based educator and elaborates its four clear characteristics: media, reflection, cooperation, permeation. In light of knowledge construction that educational masters need and the experiences of course setup of educational masters in comprehensive universities abroad, the paper conceives course setup of educational masters in comprehensive universities in our country courageously under the guiding of the training objective. The course construction pays attention to the core courses and electives. The contents of the course go forwards an organism to integrate and stress the properties of research. In addition, we need put means into necessary practice. The first one is to pay attention to the characteristic of educational masters and adopt case example teaching. The other one is to cultivate specialized teachers of educational masters basing on originally possessed teachers. Finally, we draw out the diagram of the training mode of educational masters in comprehensive universities.
