| With the development of times, teenagers have got more leisure time than ever before and the circumstances of society become more and more colorful and complicated as well. Due to the lack of leisure time education at school, some of the teenagers embrace wrong ideas about leisure and don't get the relative knowledge and ability which finally leads up to wrong deeds harmful both to themselves and the society. Some addict to TV programs and networks and video games. Some are even indulged in the books and video tapes which are full of eroticism and gambling and violence. Those above all impair them mentally and physically. Both net-addiction and juvenile delinquency are related with improper leisure time activities. The devoid of correct understanding of leisure of the whole society results in misuse of it and obsolete ideas. The teenagers are in a pivotal stage of the development of their personality. They are weak at distinguishing right from wrong and apt to be affected by circumstances. If they have no access to get appropriate guidance and instructions from school, leisure probably becomes a trap and is to bring about some hazards. Currently, traditional education lays particular stress on book-learning while little on leisure time education, so the serious psychological problems cannot be cured timely and correctly. Accordingly, the call for school leisure time education just meets the needs of society and the teenagers. School leisure time education is the compulsory task by the times.This paper is composed of four parts. Part One analyzes the theoretical background and the significance of the research firstly; and then traces the current research traditions of leisure time education; and thirdly, it clarifies the conceptions of leisure, leisure time education, personality and healthy personality and lastly brings forward the research methods.Part Two probes into the significance of leisure time education in the cultivation of teenagers'healthy personality.Part Three analyzes the problems and thus the aftermath that resulted from current situation of school leisure time education.Part Four promotes the means to strengthen school leisure time education in China to develop teenagers'healthy personality. |
