| Based upon questionnaire and survey, available documents, random interview, logical analysis and mathematical statistics, this dissertation made a survey and analysis on the current situation of the community sports in Xinzhuang Town during the process of urbanization. The results show that with the advance of urbanization, the city's population, economic and social environment and community construction have been developing increasingly, more and more infrastructure have been built and ecological environment is continuous optimized, more and more new achievements have been made in the field of spiritual civilization.From the general community sports circumstances, Community Sports of Xinzhuang Town own the following characteristics in general: (1) Two participators are responsible for the organization and management of community sports, one is the residents, another is the administrative government. (2)The budget and sufficient funds come from the government is enough to develop the community sports, lots of sports activities and competitions are hold every year. (3) Available sports facilities are equipped in every community. Their species and projects lack of diversity. (4) Opposite to the more sports space and sites, there are less sites for teaching and studying, and their planned site-layout and management are very poor which cannot attract more residents. (5) The quantity and the quality of the community sports guiders lagged far behind demand.From the participation of the community dwellers in sports activities, Xinzhuang Town Community Sports have the following characteristics: (1) The residents of Xinzhuang town have a little understanding about national fitness program, which is same as other inshore big cities in China. The purpose of taking part into sports is mainly for better healthiness and quick recovery from illness. (2)When choosing different kinds of sports activities, the residents of Xinzhuang town are mainly inclined to train together with their friends and colleagues, or with their family, or themselves. (3) The top six kinds of sports preferred are public fitness equipment, dancing aerobics, running and walking, playing badminton, playing basketball and football, swimming. (4) The most important factor is less leisure time which constraints residents (especially white-collar workers) to participate in community activitiesWhile being improved, there are some shortcomings for community sports of Xinzhuang town as follows: (1) There are obvious differences in Community Sports among different community. (2) The present programs of community sports are more fit to the women and the elders, and less fit to the ordinary masses. (3) The residents lack of effective guidance to the community sports activities.Finally, based on the present development and the exposed problems of community sports in Xinzhuang Town, we take some advices as follows: (1) Plan and construct sports facilities reasonably to meet the crowds at different levels in different sports fields. (2) Establish and improve a wide-range mechanisms for participation in community sports, which aim to attract all types of community groups to participate in community sports. (3) Train more community sports instructor who are willing to guide actively the community sports. (4) Make full use of schools sports facilities and sports resources, enhance the guidance of school sports to community sports in facilities and activities. In this paper, we intends to produce the necessary reference for the development for Xinzhuang town and other similar areas in China's urbanization process in the development of community sports.
