Study On Present Situation Of Red Website Construction In College And University And The Countermeasures

The rapid development and widespread use of internet has brought about the construction and growth of "network society ". College and university are one of the places with the highest degree and swiftest growth momentum of informatization. The integration of network and ideological and political education in college and university brings an unprecedented edge to moral education. Both the government and institution of higher learning try to occupy network space and establish the political and ideological education field on the network, as a result of which the theme website emerges. "Red website" is one kind of theme websites, whose emergence greatly extends the space ofideological and political education, enriching educational means, making the educatee become active from passive, facilitating the interaction and communication with the educator. Running well red website will create a new platform for the ideological and political education and inject fresh vigor into it. Based on this background, it is of great theoretical and practical significance to study the construction history and present situation of red website, and quest the development of ideological and political education function for the purpose of improving the time effectiveness of education.After a brief review about the development history of red website in college and university in China, combining with website management ideas, characteristics of network communication and educational discipline, by means of random sample on present ideological and political education website and empirical analysis, this paper points out the major problems lying in the website construction of ideological and political education, analyzes the root causes, puts forward the basic strategies of promoting the healthy development of red website in college and university in China. To be specific, this paper discusses the thesis from three parts. The first part proposes the viewpoint explicitly that red website plays a very important role in ideological and political education on the network by analyzing the value and advantage of red website toward ideological and political education on the network. The second part, by reviewing briefly the development of red website in Qinghua University, on basis of random sample on red website in college and university, analyzes the main problems lying in red website and their root causes, such as: no sufficient knowledge of the importance, lack of talents with high quality, dull style of information, boring content and slow updating, lack of modern theory and methods, leaving the website as an utter database, weak awareness of regulations, imperfect management and so on. In the light of the above-mentioned problems, the third part raises the fundamental strategies on the development of red website in college and university as follows: identifying the guideline and principle of red website construction, reinforcing the charm and influence of website's content and form, building up the main battlefield of network education, enhancing supervision and management of website construction, setting up long acting work mechanism, attaching importance to website design, strengthening network propaganda, making website known by more people and so on.
