The Ministry of Education promulgated the "High school English curriculum standards" to enable students to make comprehensive use of language,in which English writing plays an impertant role. However, for a long time, the level of English writing of high school students is low,and "Chinese-English" can be seen everywhere, which reflects the great transfer of Chinese in English writing. This is due to obvious differences between English and Chinese in Grammar, vocabulary and thinking habits as a result of the differences between the English culture and Chinese culture. The differences between English and Chinese both in language and culture must be seriously compared and a sense of cross-cultural communication must be cultivated so that we can improve high school English writing. In order to make sure of the specific performances in these negative transfers and seek effective strategies to solve these issues,I collect 538 English compositions from the four senior high schools in Taicang City for an error analysis, whose results shows that the Interlingual Errors, caused by the negative transfer of Chinese, make up 68.4 percent of the total. The errors include part of speech, the component parts of sentences, tense, voice, and others.Having studied the phenomenon,I give some strategy reflections on how to help senior high students to gain a sense of cross-cultural communication and gradually reduce the negative transfer in English writing caused by Chinese.
