University teachers shoulder the responsibility to cultivate talents directly for society. The cultural accomplishment of teachers directly relates to the quality of training, and the future development of university. Especially, in this new historical period of building harmonious campus, the cultural accomplishment of teachers embodies obvious characteristics of the times and new connotation. It is a primary standard to measure how the teachers are qualified. It is also an important foundation and prerequisite to build harmonious campus.For the cultural accomplishment of teachers, plenty of researches on it have been done, and formed some consistent views. However, there is little systematic and specialized research on the cultural accomplishment of teachers from the perspective of building harmonious university campus. Since our country put forward building harmonious socialist society, education has carried out extensive theoretical research around the problems of harmony and development in the field of education. One focus of them is the problem of building harmonious university campus, which has now formed an independent field of study. But the deficiency is that there is little literature systematically studying the status and the role of university teachers in building harmonious campus. Related research didn't sufficiently pay attention to university teachers. Especially it didn't recognize the significance of the cultural accomplishment of teachers in building harmonious university campus. This paper thinks the cultural accomplishment of university teachers is an inescapable problem in building harmonious university campus.In order to understand the cultural accomplishment of teachers and its influence in building harmonious university campus more comprehensively, this paper tries to probe into the connotation, the constitution, the characteristic of the cultural accomplishment of university teachers and the relation of building harmonious university campus and it. The cultural accomplishment of university teachers means university teachers'other humane cultivation and quality apart from professional knowledge and skills, which they continuously derive, practice and accumulate in teaching practice. It mainly makes up of humane accomplishment, educational accomplishment, cultural accomplishment on subject, accomplishment of personality and charm, morality of teachers, teaching art and so on. It has basic characteristics about entirety, stability, spread, education and long effect. The level of the cultural accomplishment of teachers is very important for building harmonious university campus. At the same time, the building of harmonious university campus also proposes higher demand to cultural accomplishment of university teachers. By investigating and analyzing the present situation of the cultural accomplishment of university teachers, the writer has found that the actual situation of the cultural accomplishment of university teachers is not satisfactory because of utilitarianism of society, little attention of university, lack of humane atmosphere, imperfect teacher evaluation mechanism and incomplete knowledge structure of teachers. And the writer points out that this actual situation will bring about many adverse consequences, such as affecting the improvement of university cultural taste, the formation of harmonious teacher-student relationship, sustainable development of university teachers in themselves, the quality of talents'cultivation and the future development of university. On this basis, this paper puts forward some corresponding countermeasures and proposal on improving cultural accomplishment of university teachers in the context of building harmonious university campus.
