Research On The Socialization Of Morden Undergraduate Students

As the higher education became much more popular to the public, the number of undergraduates has increased a lot. What's more, we also observed the increase of the proportion of women student. They have shown great perspicacity and competency in many subjects by their own wonderful performance. More and more female youth have got access to higher education. This phenomenon represents the female group in universities becomes larger and larger, and women will become an important force of the socialistic construction with Chinese character. Furthermore, it also can show the progress of the liberal development ideology during the social innovation. However, for the specific mental and physical condition, as well as the negative impact of the traditional conception, female undergraduates will confront with more difficulties than the male during the process of socialization. Therefore, colleges and universities should provide rational guidance with the female undergraduates during their socialization process.There are mainly four parts of my paper.First of all, I mostly expatiate on the general situation of modern research in this field, for example, the background, the significance and the basic con of the socialization of female undergraduates. The female undergraduates can always attract public attention. On the one hand, they are the main force of our country as well as men. On the other hand, they will become mothers in the future and they must take the duty to foster the next generation for our nation. Therefore, if the process of female undergraduate socialization can go on well, the whole nation will enjoy more freedom and become more power than ever before. There are various kinds of definitions concerning the conception of socialization. But they have reached common ground in their meanings, which is a natural person would gradually become a social person who can adapt to the social culture, and take part in the social activities, and play a certain kind social role through the process of socialization. It consists of political socialization, psychological socialization, professional socialization and moral socialization. In the second place, I mostly describe the main problems of social education and points of view towards value of the female undergraduates. In order to make my argumentation more persuadable, I have made questionnaire surveys in JiLin College, JiLin Agricultural Science And Technology University and BaiCheng Normal University. The results of these surveys indicate that many female undergraduates are greatly influenced by the feudal traditional idea and prejudice in modern society. They have show little interests in politics. Some of them think women must have been lack of the ability to take part in political activities and women are the appendage of men. Female undergraduates must face a series of problems such as mental pressure, sex discrimination, amativeness and marriage. These problems had blocked the socialization process of female undergraduates more or less.Thirdly, I present the social and personal factors of female undergraduate's socialization formation. The status of women has obviously increased as the society developed, but in a society with thousands of years'feudal tradition, men have always become the core of the society. Many people just bear in minds the idea that men are superior to women, and this kind of idea cannot be eradicated in a short time. Under this kind of historical background, the female undergraduate face quite a lot of pressure. They lack of courage and confidence in face of challenges for the sex discrimination which had been formed for thousands of years. In other words, they always reconcile to the traditional idea and give in. Moreover, many companies in the society often reject to women for the sake of benefit, and this makes it more difficult for female undergraduates to find a job. Judging from the social points of view, education should have more pertinence and proper measures. I should admit that women are different from men in physical and psychological aspects, but they have their own advantages in being in charged with social task and taking social duty. In addition, the expectation and estimation towards women of the society are greatly influenced by the traditional view points. Influenced by the traditional view points and social bias, modern female undergraduates really do not want to be in the shade of men, but they are also afraid of becoming the so called"powerful women". The reason is that kind of women not only cannot be accepted by men, but also not welcomed by other women. This made them so afraid that they move back in front both difficulties and opportunities.In the last part, I will give some advice on dealing with such kinds of female undergraduate socialization problems. The whole society should create an atmosphere of equal, and improved the social guarantee system, and enhance legislation in order to eliminate the sex discrimination during the employing process. From the aspect of moral education, we should emphasize the so called"four spirits of oneself". These are the spirits of self-esteem, self-confidence, self-support and self-strive. Thus, they are bound to succeed in both learning and working career. Modern universities should found psychological consultation institution and set up psychological health care network in order to solve the psychological problems of female undergraduate. They will be helpful in psychological health care education. Moreover, they can help the college girls recognize the world objectively, and rationally deal with the complex relationships such as the relationships between success and failure, ideality and fact, competition and friendship, school work and love and so on. Meantime, the university can introduce new means such consultation room online. It can provide the female undergraduates with better consulting place for most girls are worried of losing faces when talking about something personal or private. This can also enhance the spiritual civilization construction, and improve the female undergraduate's capability of endurance.
