This article summarizes the the relevant recrucitment information since 2002 to 2008, the survey has revealed that: There are demand for specific "instructional designer"in our country, especially from 2005, the demand for this vocation of society has increased clearly, and there are nearly 30 companies have explicitly put forward the recrucitment of the post.The reality have proven that the instructional designers should become an important study of professional direction. With the development of information technology,economy and education, the need of instructional designer of society has occured and it's developing quickly.At present, there is less research on instructional designers, in the domestic, the theoretical study is still exploring. The education technology personnels are flowing forward to the schoos, and bocoming to be "technology manger" but not "instructional designer" now. In fact, just because of the professionsal traits of educational techonlogy itsself, the students of this major possess the basis of being instructional designer. In teching, they can combine the techonlogy with instructional technology in order to optimize teching; in the field of corporation, they can combine the educational theories with instructional technology to improve the corporatio's performance; but in educational companies, they can use educational theories to support the design and development of educational softwares. So the employment fields of educational technology graduates should be spreaded from the school out to the coperations and educational companies. Therefore, the promotion of development of instructional designers are not only conducive to extert our major's strong suits, widen their employment channels , but also they are benifit to the training of teachers of technical education and the entreprises's training performance.In the process of research, for expounding and demonstrating the issues which need to be solved, the paper has adopted document analysis,investigation,comparison andinduction.Through inspection of large Chinese and English information on instructional designers, In this paper, we expatiated the problems of research on the qualities and education of instructional designers in detail through four parts. The first part expouned the background of advancing the research on the qualities and education of instructional designers, and it defined the meaning of instructional designers' the quality structure, and at the same time it pointed out that the methods and significance of the research; In the second part, we gave a systematic overview of the research status quo of native and foreign instructional designer, and we summarized them comparatively; In part three,we analysed and confirmed instructional designer's three working areas, and constructed instructional designer's quality structure through surveying,analysing and studying the demand of native and foreign instructional designer's quality structure, so it supplied a foundation for advancing the training program of instructional designer; in the last part, we determined the training levels and training goals, and put forward the cultivation framework model of instructional designer.On the basis of the foregoing research, the paper has tried to find a training program of instructional designers which not only be suitable for China's national conditions but can accelerate the development of educational technology, and create conditions for professional graduates to find a new way of employment as well.The instructional designer is a new development direction, at the present it is initial stage of the development, there are many concepts and theories are not uniform, so there must be difference in training goal of major construction. Howere, no matter how science and technoloy develop , and how the education technology professionals Changes,there is one thing which will not change, that is science developmengt must be suitble for the society's needs and facilitate society's progress. If we have grasped it well, the instructional designers will develop without deviating from the right direction , and will be recognized by everyone.
