Analysis Of Characteristics Of Ball Possession Offensive Skills Applied By Midfielders Of The Top Sixteen Teams In The 18th FIFA World Cup

Known as "the(?)st popular sport in the world",football is one of the most popular and world-influential athletic team sports.The FIFA World Cup represents the highest level of football event,where the modern football skills and tactics are best reflected.Compared with the other events before,the footballers in the 18th FIFA World Cup were more capable of applying football skills in the matches of quicker rhythm and more fierce competition.The application of football skills and tactics by top football players like them is leading the development orientation and tendency of modern football.In a match midfielders are usually regarded as the key organizers.To much extent,the final result of a match depends on how well they apply the football skills and tactics of which ball possession offensive skills play a decisive role in winning a match.This thesis focuses on the characteristics of ball possession offensive skills applied by midfielders of the top sixteen teams in the 18th FIFA World Cup for the reference of the professional football teaching and training staff and in an attempt to promote the quality and efficiency of specialized football training.The conclusion of this thesis is based on the statistical analysis of the characteristics of the main offensive skills applied by midfielders of the top sixteen teams in the 18th FIFA World Cup.That is:In matches midfielders took a pass,passed a ball,dribbled and broke through the defense and shot mostly with the insides of the feet.It is decided by the characteristics of skills of the insides of the feet,the positions midfielders play and the live football matches.According to the different positions they play,team work and defense of the opponents, midfielders took a pass with the outsides of the insteps,the insteps and chest.They passed a ball with the insides and outsides of the insteps and head.They dribbled and broke through with the insteps as well as the outsides of the insteps and shot with the insteps,the insides and outsides of the insteps along with the head.Obvious mistakes were made in passing a ball and shooting.The subjective causes were improper application of skills and weak stamina.The objective causes were fouls by the opponents and poor coordination among the players.
