The special education is a part of China's socialist education cause, and it should be given adequate attention.In recent years,special children's education has been gradually stressed under the care of the leaders at all levels and the government.However,because the incidence of visually impaired children is only 6/10000,is far below that of intellectual and hearing disability children,so only few people care about the research on special education of visually impaired children,and as for the education for them is rarely mentioned.This paper focuses on the investigation and research about music education of visually impaired children in Hunan,to explore the value and significance of music education for visually impaired children in theory,and meanwhile to study and explore the teaching way from the principles of music teaching,music teaching mode,music teaching methods,music teaching materials,as well as music teacher's quality etc five aspects.In doing so,it tries to break the traditional music lesson "cramming method of teaching" form,to find the special ways for visually impaired children,and to enhance the quality of teaching.Hope this theme can play a first and forward role on the music education for visually impaired children in our country.Therefore,the research on this subject has important theoretical and practical significance.This paper is divided into four parts:the first part is an overview of visually impaired children in our country;the second part is the investigation and reason analysis on visually impaired children's music education in Hunan;the third part is to expound the education value of music education for visually impaired children;Part fouris to propose the strategy research on effective music education for visually impaired children.First of all,the author tries to seek suitable ways and means,to improve the teaching theory,and to improve the quality of teaching for visually impaired children's development from the principles of music teaching,music teaching models and teaching methods etc.Then the author puts forward her own views on editing and writing of music teaching materials and music teachers' cultivation according to unique characteristics of visually impaired children.
