Theming module designing is the way of teaching, which is not only in line with the new curriculum reform, but also the concept of research-based learning.Under the light of the primary principles of theming module design, this research paper practiced the theory with the unit"Environment and Us"in Primary school year six Science textbook, published by Education & Science Press, following a"Analysis—Identify problems—Find solutions"process. In the early days of designing, I was aware of the practical application of the textbook, especially the problems with it through class observations and further investigations. In the course of research I have been perceving the unit as a instructorand keeping the demands of students in mind. So I believe this will definitely improve teaching outcomes, enhance teacher's professional development and their research capacity.Great importance has been attached to environment in"Science Curriculum Standard", therefore, I did my reasearch with the unit"Environment and Us".This essay is comosed of four sections: Section one is an introduction of the origin of the work and the selection of research methods; In Section two, I worked on theories of theming module design, including meaning and characteristics, content and elements of the theoretical basis, significance and value of of the theories; Section three focused on identifying the problems in the unit and some constructive suggestions drawn from practical exploration have been proposed.
