Modern football tactics are characterized by comprehensiveness, effectiveness and multilateral participation, which require full tactic understanding among players. It remains pressing to find an approach where the role of the whole team can be brought into full play. In such a context, it is, therefore, an important subject of football team-building to understand the group cohesion of adolescent football players and conduct study on how to enhance cohesion through a new training method---- outward bound training, which is also significant to make the whole team more competitive. This thesis is based on the group cohesion test and outward bound training carried out in Dalian Shide preparatory football team and the football team of Sports School in Zhongshan District of Dalian. Through the experimental study, a general conclusion can be drawn that outward bound training helps to improve group cohesion effectively, particularly the cohesion for team tasks. For team building, regular management is indispensable, but some well-targeted outward bound training should also be organized to encourage more inter-player communication and fully tap the potential in each and every player. Only by clarifying the specific aim of each task and increasing team cohesion, can a team gain more competitive edges in a real-time game.
