Physical models are not only important contents, but also important learning methods. The characters of physics and the students'needs for integrated development tell us that if we want to cultivate the students'innovation spirit and abilities of solving physics problems, we must develop their modeling abilities; therefore, we must improve and enhance the physical model teaching. It not only meets the demands of the times, but also follows the physics development laws. However, nowadays, there has not been such a systematic research for the teaching design with physical models in high school (the outcomes of literature search in www.cnki.net indicate). So this paper is to construct a more systematic and operable theory of the teaching design with physical models in high school.This paper has five parts:Firstly, introduce the background, the objectives, the method, and the meaning of this research;Secondly, collect, classify and analysis the interrelated literatures home and abroud;Thirdly, clarify the meanings of Physical Model and Physical Model Teaching, and then according to the Constructivism Learning Theory, Production Transfer and Activity Teaching Theory, construct the physical model teaching design theory;Fourthly, according to the physical model teaching design theory constructed in the third part already, construct the methodological frames for the physical model teaching design case study (which include the construction and deployment of the physical models), and then analyze the teaching design cases with it to find the universal rules of the physical model teaching design in high school, finally, explain how to use these theories further by designing another physics lesson;At last, reflect on the whole research, then make a conclusion and advance some suggestions on the teaching design with physical models in high school.
