Research On The History And Trend Of Computer-aid Instruction

Based on the reflection and retrospection of the history of computer assisted instruction(CAI) home and broad,this paper analyzes the current situation,concludes the problems and experiences in the course, and anticipates the trend of CAI, which provide a instructive reference to the implementation of CAI service.Computer assisted instruction has a short history in China. At most schools, CAI still remains in the early phase. Based on the theories of CAI and research on computer science and technology, this paper brings forward the feasible solution to the current problems. To begin with, depending on national conditions, basic theories should be strengthened, advanced notions absorbed, movement actively carried forward; secondly, more infrastructural investment should be made in the east and west, imbalance of district development improved, difference between students polished, and facilities fully employed; thirdly, training and practice on related theories should be brought forward, and teachers'information literacy boosted; besides, traditional concept of teaching should be reformed, and scientific exterior teaching evaluation system set up; last but not least, based on the principle to serve the students, software engineering should be promoted, and development and application system built. In spite of the limitations, CAI boasts a promotive outlook. With the economic globalization and developing technology, human resources are great treasures of a nation, which build on education. The application of Internet and other mass media is the current trend of education. To cultivate more talents and boost their creativity, we should keep pace with the development of education of the modern world.
