With the ceaseless development of the economy modernization, the family structure in the Chinese village has changed a lot and the number of core family increases gradually, which makes a new family structure appear slowly in current and future village, namely, Empty-nest Family. And its number is rising so increasingly that a great many problems are following behind, especially the emotional desire of the Empty-nest Family elders, which our country should pay much concern to.With the combination of the quantitative research and the qualitative research, this paper makes an analysis on the emotional desire and the degree of the satisfaction of the Empty-nest Elders to find that the strong desire and the low degree of satisfaction come into contradiction obviously. To analyze this issue better, the paper classifies the emotional desire and uses the index of the degree of satisfaction to explain it. In the next place, facing the contradiction, the Empty-nest Elders depend on getting the mental support mainly to satisfy the desire and the support comes into diversification. But regarding the sense of happiness of the Empty-nest Elders, the children's support plays the main part. Lastly the paper finds that a social exchange is hidden in the Mental support. That is to say, the mental support is really a social exchange under the mask of the rural etiquette and custom. For the mentioned contradiction, the traditional mental support plays a part to some extent. But it is not enough for the increasing number of the rural Empty-nest Elders. The country, society and individual must join together to cope with the current problem.
