The experimental objects in this study were 67 eight graders in two 2 classes: with the experimental class 35 students and the case-control class 32 students. The experimental class was intervened through attribution training while the case-control class was given normal teaching. It aimed at investigating the students'characters of achievement motivation and achievement attribution. And the differences between pre-test and post-test in attribution trend, achievement motivation and academic performance. By the test instruments of achievement motivation and achievement attribution scale .Corrected the students'pre-term and post-term scores of Chinese, math's and English subject respectively. Using the means of relate analysis statistic and significance test. The results showed that:(1)Achievement motivation, achievement attribution and academic performance have some relationship.(2)The attribution style of middle school students was generally intrinsic one. There score sequence was: effort-ability-situation-fortune.(3)The middle-school student's achievement motivation level is high. That's to say that pursue the successful motivation was obviously stronger than that of avoiding being defeated.(4)When the middle-school student attributes to the achievement a stable factor, they have the stronger achievement motivation. The achievement motivation level was obviously related to the academic achievement. Attribution style effects academic performance.(5)Attribution training can transfer the student's attribution tendency to positive direction. Achievement attributed to internal and stable factors.(6)Attribution training can enhance the student's achievement motivation, through attribution training that will promote pursue achievement motivation and reduce of avoiding being defeated.(7)Attribution training not only can enhance the student's achievement motivation, but also can improve the student's learning performance. Seek achievement motivation impels the student become more effort. Enhance the student's learning insists, improving their academic results.Finally, give some suggestions for educators.
