Study strategy first drew attention from the researchers in the 1960s. Some reliable achievements have been made based on decades of researches since. According to English Standard Curriculum, study strategy can be classified into four groups: cognitive strategy, control strategy, communication strategy and resource strategy. In recent years, researchers have been doing many more researches on the first three strategies than the fourth one. For English learners in China, whose mother tongue is Chinese, English is a foreign language .and the resources available for them to learn English sufficiently are far from enough. Thus, resource strategy should play an outstanding role in their English learning. In the meanwhile, important as writing is, it is to some degree the weakest in the English teaching and it has received relatively few researches.Adopting Literature Study Review, Analysis of Errors in students' essays, and Questionnaires, the author collected and analyzed the common errors in students' essays. Then the writer did the experiment in the following ways: (1) pre-tested the experimental group (Class One Grade One of No. 2 Senior High School from Jingde County, Anhui Province) and the control group (Class Two Grade One of No. 2 Senior High School from Jingde County, Anhui Province);(2)gave writing teaching to the experimental group regularly using resource strategy;(3)post-tested the two classes. At last, the writer contrasted and analyzed the data got from the previous steps.In Chapter Eight of the thesis the writer tried to put forward some suggestions on the present English writing teaching considering the present English writing teaching situation in her own school.The author sincerely hopes that: the thesis (1) is helpful for the senior high school students in our school to improve the writing ability;(2) is useful for the English teachers in our school to polish their English teaching ,at least in writing teaching.
