| Leisure is a very ancient and important type of activity in human society, which constitutes an integral part of human life。With the development of science and technology and the improvement of productivity, Chinese economy has developed steadily and grown fast, improved people's living standards。With the increasingly rich in social living material, people have more and more leisure time。At the same time, our country's leisure sports have developed better。It plays a more important part in our life. However, Research on leisure sports in China is in primary stage. The government should know the diversified needs of sports in the period which is being built the well; give full play to the social function of sports culture; play a positive role in the development of human society。Leisure Sports, as a civilization,science,health,leisure lifestyles, increasingly plays an invaluable role in the promoting physical and mental health, in the helping people get great spiritual power, in the improving the overall people's quality. What's more, it plays an important part in promoting social development of economy and industry, the human interaction and the sports activity, and improving and perfecting the life-long education system。In the leisure time, the people's outlook on life from the survive to enjoy the pursuit of development and then to pursue the enjoyment.。Human being increasingly concern about their health, so leisure sports becomes the main form of recreation in people's leisure time, then leisure sports is the result of natural development of the times.。Therefore, this thesis adopts literature, logical analysis to explain the rapid rise of leisure sports in our country, analyze the necessity of the status of domestic and international leisure sports from the basic concept of leisure sports, value and function。At the same time, the thesis discusses the contents and characteristics of leisure sports, sports economy, sports lifestyle, sports consumption, and the sports industry, carefully analyzes the current status of Leisure Sports in our country, then we can conclude that there is still large gap in the development of leisure sport between our country and the developed countries. Furthermore, the thesis analyzes subjective and objective factors which effect the development of our leisure sports, finds some problems in the development of leisure sports and strategies to solve them, Proposals and corresponding countermeasures put forwards to are to build a reasonable and sustainable path of development of leisure sports in order to provide a useful reference value.
