It is well known that John Dewey was one of the most famous educators all over the world,while it is not well known that he was also the educator of the women's education.John Dewey was affected by the American economic development and the progress of the feminist movement. Dewey's views on women were affected by three famous women. They are Jane Addams, Ella Flagg Young and Alice Chipman Dewey. John Dewey's philosophy of education is the basic of his thought of female education.Dewey believed that the female education was the key to political,economic and education. John Dewey criticized a variety of society's prejudices of female education at that time. John Dewey believed that the co-education was the best way to develop the female education.John Dewey's thought of female education was the important part of his pragmatism.It was not only affected the theory and practice of female Education of the United States,but also affected female education of China.
