Research On The Idea Of University Students Of Poverty And Its Educational Countermeasures

With the reform and opening and economic development, the higher education system in China has undergone major changes from elite education to mass education. Scale expansion of college enrollment provides more opportunities for poor students enter colleges and universities. But the implementation of the charging system makes the problem of poverty-stricken college students become more prominent. Higher education has become the focus of development and social concerns hot spots. Students of poverty in colleges and universities are a special group and their thought and psychological show new characteristics and new issues. These attract the great attention and become a new topic to Educators. The importance of poor students'ideological and political education requires that we should focus on the goals of ideological and political education, enrich the contents of the ideological and political education, and explore effective ways of ideological and political education to adapt to the development of contemporary university students.In this paper, university students of poverty are our object of study. Their psychological problems were analyzed amply. Combined with the knowledge of education, psychology and sociology, the causes of university students'psychological problems were found from both subjective and objective. Finally the measures and meaning of ideological and political education were discussed. This paper is divided into four parts. Part I: Analysis of university students of poverty. In this part the concept of university student of poverty was defined clearly and the actuality and causes of university students of poverty were introduced. Part II: Research on ideological and psychological issues of University Students of poverty. In this part the actuality of university students of poverty was discussed from both the positive and negative aspects. Their mainstream of thought was affirmed as active and motivated firstly, and then their ideological and psychological issues were analyzed thoroughly. Part III: Study on the causes of poor university students'ideological and psychological problem. Base on the research in part II, the main causes were found from both the Subjective and objective aspects. Part IV: The Significance and Countermeasures of ideological and political education. The Significance of ideological and political education was summarized completely. According to the results of the research before, many Educational means to university students of poverty were proposed.
