School choice is the issue that many people pay close attention to in the educational circles of our country, and the relationship between school choice and education equality is even more attractive to researchers. However, everyone has his own idea; no agreement has been reached so far. America's school choice has a long history, the mature choice system and the abundant experience in opening school has made positive contribution on America's education. Especially to 1990s, Charter schools'sprung up has become a dazzling bright pearl in America's educational system, urging America's education being more equal.This scientific dissertation tries to understand America's school choice system and education equality thoroughly (more attention to Charter School), and to understand our country's school choice, and try to use the experience of America's school choice system for reference, aiming to promote our country's education equality.Besides the preface, this dissertation includes 5 parts:Firstly, it introduces the history of America's school choice system. America's school choice system can be divided into three periods:the embryonic period, the initial period (from the end of 1960s to 1980s) and the flourishing period (after the 1980s). Secondly,it focused on the Charter school, and analyzed its background and characterize. Thirdly, it analyzes the successes, the problems and the education equality problem of America's school choice system.Fourthly, it analyzes the differences between China and America' school choice system, and compare the factors influencing the two countries'education equality. The last part evaluates China's current education choice and equality, putting forward some feasible advices to realize our country's education equality.
