As 9-year compulsory education policy comes to be popularly carried out, all of the children are equally to be educated in compulsory education stage. While, since China's educational resources are distributed unevenly, schools differ from each other in educational service quality and quantity, therefore, school-choice and unauthorized collection of educational fees for it are common.Until now, some investigations on the school-choice percentage and intention have been done. But there haven't any reports about the investigation and analysis on the relationship between family background, school-choice pupils and school-choice, which is the very topic this paper attempts to focus on.This paper discusses the causes of school-choice in compulsory education stage from the dimension of educational equality, analyzes the current situation of school-choice and its negative effect in less-developed regions and puts forward some strategies and reform suggestions. The first chapter consists of the general description of pupil's school-choice in compulsory education stage, the forms and causes of school-choice, the introduction of school-choice research situation and features both home and abroad. The second chapter analyzes the present school-choice situation of compulsory education stage in less-developed regions, the influence of family background on school-choice, and the vulnerable groups' school-choice. The third chapter discusses such difficulties as communication, meals and accommodation the school-choice pupils, who are from the less-developed regions during their compulsory education stage, have to face with. The fourth chapter attempts to suggest some strategies to dealing with the school-choice in less-developed regions during the compulsory education stage.
