ObjectiveIt has been proved that we could maintance body's structure and function when our body composiotion are in proportion. Once the proportion unbalanced, our body and fitness would be jeopardized. College students are in the phase of later-puberty, the influence would be very serious in their whole life span if they are lack of exercise or have bad eating habits.So, to study the factors influence college students's body composition, is becoming a basic work for researching into college students's life style.The study studied the college students in Beijing, using dual energy X-ray absorptiometry(DEXA) to measure the body composition. The lifestyle was investigated by questionnaire and the discrepancy between four different bodytypes was analyzed via statistics methods. The study aims to research into the effect of detrimental lifestyle on college students'changes in bodytype and body composition, providing theoretical basis for the following research of guideline for physical exercise and the improvement of post-puberty college students'bodytype.Subjects and MethodsThe study selected 170 post-puberty college students in Beijing as the subjects. The subjects'demographic characteristics, living habits, eating patterns, physical activity and life attitude was obtained via questionnaire, the percentage of body fat, muscle mass and bone mineral density(BMD) was measured by DEXA. The data was processed by statistics methods, including Multi-way ANOVA and×2 test.Conclusion 1 As the college students'body fat degree increases, the percentage of body fat increases, the proportion of muscle decreases, BMD increases, and the gender differences is obvious.2 Over-weight, obesity is relevant to living region and family circumstance. the single-child living in superior environment has higher proportion of over-weight and obesity.3 Over-weight, obesity is relevant to living style and eating patterns. The students who have good appetite, eat less meal, prefer to fried cooking, eat excessively, eat quickly and eat more late snacks have higher proportion of over-weight and obesity.4 Over-weight, obesity is relevant to physical activity and living attitude. Pattern and time of traffic, exercise frequency and feelings of physical activity are the factors that affect college students' percentage of body fat.
