Illegal Marriage Immigration In The Border Regions Between China And Vietnam

The length of boundary between Guangxi China and Vietnam is more than 1,000 km, people in the border between the two counties have communicated.Since 1990s, the intermarrige have been facilitated along with the development of border trade and personnel exchanges. However, most of the marriage immigration in the border are illegal immigrants because of the two governments'policy. These illegal marriage immigrants are a part of the international migrants and the Chinese border management is brought difficulties to a certain extent by them.This paper based on these illegal immigrants and their spouses in the Chinese border as the research object, the 69 field survey datum as the main material, the SPSS (mainly is szpilman correlation coefficient) as the statistical methods, combined with the international migration theory, non-traditional security theory analysis of the causes of illegal immigration migration and the security problems they brought. The main reasons of the border illegal marriage immigrants move are the ethnic of economy between China and Vietnam, the same language and culture in the border and the gender imbalance in the border area. The women from Vietnam for marriage with the Chinese men, illegal immigration, illegal residence and illegal marriage as the way. There have a lot of illegal marriage immigrants, on one hand, it can promotes the exchanges of economic and cultural between the two countries, and the development of folk relationship. On the other hand, it takes some opposite forces to the security in Chinese border and the stability of their families and themselves. How to solve the problem of illegal marriage immigration in the border is become a subject between the governments of China and Vietnam. The two countries should use a new thinking to solve it, make the illegal marriage immigrants to be normally and ensure the security and stability of the border region.
