For long times, China has invested most of their education budget on higher education instead of compulsory education. However, compulsory education is the basis of our country's education. The fact that the country has invested low on compulsory education has resulted in so many problems, including insufficient compulsory education period, unbalanced arrangement of courses and materials and the gap in education resources between the urban and the rural. Nine-year compulsory education that has been carried out in China is exam-oriented education, whose standard is fact and marks. Ignoring the positive influences resulting from Arts, Sports, ethics and etc, schools more consider how to improve students'marks, which leads to the lack of education in politics and ethics. Students'comprehensive quality cannot be improved. Exam-oriented studies have resulted in the existence of "high marks but low ability" students. True or false answers undermine students'creativity and positivity, which makes students only pursue high marks. Resulting from overburdened study pressure, a lot of students have psychological and psychic problems, which is not good for students' grow-up and development. All the problems signal that our current education system is not that mature. Changing current exam-oriented education system and adopting new ability-oriented education system is the only way that must be passed for China's education to achieve sustainable development.Based on the ability-oriented education, I advance a point of view of averaging ability-oriented education. The purpose of averaging ability-oriented education is to take care of students in various classes, such as high mark students, low mark students, urban students, rural students, students who like studying and students who hate studying. As long as those students are in the period of compulsory education, they have rights to obtain education. Therefore, our education is not just cultivating students into talents but educating students into people. To some extent, education should pay more attention to those students who have problems on study, students from middle or western parts of China as well as the rural students. Particularly, we should make changes from three aspects:school, family and society. For school, the range of compulsory education should be extended to nursery education. School should maximize the number of students in a class, reinforce the education of arts and sports, strengthen the education of psychology and jurisprudence and renovate textbooks and related learning materials. For family, parents should eliminate unrealistic comparison and set up the equal concept for both parents and students. For society, the society should support the idea of internet age division standard. I hope through these three aspects'effort, the concept of averaging ability-oriented education can be embedded into our country, thus improving the ethical quality, intelligent quality, physical quality and aesthetic quality of people who are within the period of compulsory education.
