High-intensity training will lead to exercise-induced immune suppression, exercise-induced immune suppression is a difficult problem which perplexed coaches and athletes. In order to fully understand exercise-induced immune suppression, this paper studied that the effect of high-intensity training on lymphocytes (T-lymphocyte subsets,T lymphocytes,B lymphocytes and NK cells). In order to provide a simple,easy and economical solution for exercise-induced immune suppression, this paper further studied that the effect of the dioscorea opposita thunb extract on lymphocytes of the rats of high-intensity training.Methods:Twenty-four 8-week-old SD female rats were randomly divided into three groups:quiet control group (C group),simple exercise group (S group),dioscorea opposite thunb extract exercise group (SY group). The rats of dioscorea opposite thunb extract exercise group and the rats of simple exercise group were high-intensity trained at the treadmill for four weeks. The rats of dioscorea opposite thunb extract exercise group were supplemented dioscorea opposite thunb extract during high-intensity training,the dose is 400mg/kg.d.The rats of simple exercise group were supplemented the same amount of saline. After training, T-lymphocyte subsets CD3+%,CD4+%,CD8+% and the ratio of CD4+/CD8+ of peripheral blood of the rats were detected. T,B lymphocytes' proliferation and NK cells' natural killer rate of the rats' spleen were detected. Using SAP way detected T-lymphocyte subsets CD3+%,CD4+%,CD8+% and the ratio of CD4+/CD8+ of peripheral blood of the rats. Using MTT way detected T,B lymphocytes' proliferation and NK cells'natural killer rate of the rats'spleen.Results:(1) CD3+%,CD4+% and the ratio of CD4+/CD8+ of the simple exercise group were significantly lower than the quiet control group (P<0.01),CD8+% no significant change(P>0.05); CD3+%(P<0.05),CD4+%(P<0.05) and the ratio of CD4+/CD8+ (P<0.01) of the dioscorea opposite thunb extract exercise group were significantly higher than the simple exercise group,CD8+% no significant change(P>0.05).(2)B lymphocytes' proliferation (P<0.01) and NK cells'natural killer rate(P<0.01) of the simple exercise group were significantly lower than the quiet control group; B lymphocytes' proliferation(P<0.05) and NK cells'natural killer rate (P<0.05) of the dioscorea opposite thunb extract exercise group were significantly higher than the simple exercise group.(3) T lymphocytes' proliferation of the simple exercise group were lower than the quiet control group, but no significant change (P>0.05);T lymphocytes' proliferation of the dioscorea opposite thunb extract exercise group were higher than the simple exercise group, but no significant change (P>0.05).Conclusion: The high-intensity training will decrease lymphocytes' function and the percentage of T- lymphocyte subsets and the ratio of CD4+/CD8+. To supplement the dioscorea opposite thunb extract can prevent the decline of lymphocytes' function and the percentage of T- lymphocyte subsets and the ratio of CD4+/CD8+ in the high intensity training.
