Learning style has been concerned by educators and psychologists as one kind of individualized elements to which affect the learning of students. Individual differences is an important factor to affect teaching and learning activities and learning style is an important variable for individual differences. At present, teaching for class has been taken for most school and the same teaching methods have been used in class. To investigate the difference of the learning results of perceptual learning styles of students in the same teaching style , that is the matching between perceptual learning styles and teaching style , will promote the level of education and learning.On the basis of the literature review of previous studies ,this dissertation identified following objectives: to investigate the general characteristics of the perceptual learning styles of Middle School Students and its trend changes with the age; to explore the matching between perceptual learning styles and teaching style of middle school students.1152 Middle School Students were used as subjects. We reconstructed the questionnaire on the basis of the Inventory for Perceptual Learning Styles from overseas and Open-ended Questionnaire to study developmental characteristics of perceptual learning styles of Middle School Students .This dissertation adopted Between group design to investigate the Matching between Their Learning Styles and Teaching Styles. these factors are concluded, that is visual type, auditory type, tactile type, mixed type and Traditional teaching and multimedia teaching for the first class of junior and middle school students. The following finding were obtained:(1) Visual learning style is the most important perceptual learning styles of Middle School Students and the second one is tactile learning style, the last one is auditory learning style;(2) There is gender differences between the auditory and tactile perceptual learning styles of middle school students. Auditory learning style is used by female students and tactile learning style is taken by male students . there is no gender difference in visual learning style ;(3) There is no grade difference in visual learning style and there is grade difference between auditory learning style and tactile learning style;(4) Learning effects for Auditory learner is significantly higher than that of the students to whom take the auditory, tactile and mixed learning style in traditional teaching style. learning effects for visual learner is significantly better than that of Auditory learner and there is no significant difference among other learning styles ;(5) There is interaction on the recognition results between grade and perceptual learning styles in multimedia teaching. recognition results of visual and tactile students decline gradually with grade. On the other hand, the results rise significantly for the auditory and mixed students.
