The study of the cultural change is always an important field to the study of the cultural anthropology, the cultural change is an important characteristic of the culture. It is generally believed that the cultural change refers to the change of cultural content and cultural structure, which often manifests itself in the forms of the increase of the new cultural and the change of the old culture, that is, the cultural transmission and cultural self-creation. This paper is created under the framework of the cultural change and employs Wu Daying as the study object, it starts from the viewpoint of the anthropology to study the change of the cattle culture of Wu Daying since 1949, especially before and after the Reform and Opening up through the research approaches such as field research, literature analysis and so on. It attempts to explain the overall situation of the cultural change in Wu Daying during the social transformation from the viewpoint of the change of the cattle culture.This paper consists of an introduction, four chapters and a conclusion. The introduction explains the reason of writing this paper. First chapter explains the academic history, the research meaning, the research methods, the gist and the value of the study. Second chapter introduces the natural environment, social environment the mental culture and the material culture of Wu Daying. Third chapter is the main part of the paper, this part employs Jiangsu province as the reference, introducing the historical status of cattle keeping, the cattle keeping culture, the cattle farming culture, the cattle marketing culture, and the cattle repast culture and corresponding changes. The cattle keeping culture has undergone the official cattle to the private cattle from before since the Reform and Opening up; the cattle farming has undergone the collective owned phase to the individual owned phase and then to the non-individual owed phase; the cattle marketing has undergone the depression to the prosperity and then to the depression.; the cattle repast has undergone the single product phase to the various product phase and from the high-priced phase to the low-priced phase. These changes are gradually realized. Fourth chapter conclude the reasons of the changes of the cattle culture from the aspects of the technology development, the increase of the income, the policies of the government and the concept of the people. The conclusion is the thinking of the change of the cattle culture, it infers that the change of the cattle culture in Wu Daying is double-leveled change, it is a long and gradual process and it is a definite conclusion.
