As important variables to predict teachers'attitudes and behaviors, teachers'organizational commitment and career commitment aroused more and more scholars'concern. A great number of researches have been carried on to discuss the levels, measurements and causal variables of teachers'organizational commitment and career commitment and yielded a rich harvest. But through the review and summary of the previous researches, we find that few of them have made a comprehensive and intensive study of teachers'organizational commitment and career commitment at the same time. Then what the lever of teacher'scommitment? what relationships actually exist between teachers'organizational commitment and career commitment? Which factors infect both teacher's organizational commitment and career commitment? Are there measures to achieve integral advancement of the two? With these questions, I conduct a preliminary study of the relationships between the two aspects. This study takes primary and middle schoolteachers from some areas of Ji Lin and An Hui Province as samples. The tool—teachers'commitment questionnaire used in this study is based on the translation and revision of the well-known foreign scholars—Meyer and Allen's organizational and career commitment questionnaire. Through analyzing the organizational and career commitment levels of teachers with different genders, ages, school ages, academic degrees, subjects, posts, schools, marital status and income levels, the paper explores the relationships between teachers'organizational commitment and career commitment. The result indicates that there is significantly positive correlation between teachers'organizational commitment and career commitment. And on this basis, the paper offers a series of proposals to achieve integral advancement of teachers'organizational commitment and career commitment.
