Countries in the world regard the reform of basic education curriculum materials for enhancing national strength, the accumulation of the future international competitiveness of strategic measures to be implemented. With the maturity of the UK curriculum reform, curriculum implementation as an important carrier of the materials in the preparation of concept, content, selection and activity design also made great progress, group of outstanding teaching materials emerged. Currently the high school biology textbooks researchers systematic study of the UK's biological materials less, in order to fill the shortage in this research field, and to better improve our high school biology textbook, I selected the high usage book in the UK higher school which was made by the British Oxford Cambridge and RSA Examinations (referred OCR), the latest version of Biology AS and A2 material in this study. The material was first printed in 2008 by the British Heinemann Press.In this study, a literature study on the development of domestic and international trends in secondary school biology curriculum and teaching characteristics of a comb, and related teaching materials and textbooks for the theory are reviewed. On this basis, the author combines text analysis and questionnaires on the British Examinations Board OCR Biology AS and A2 textbook in-depth and meticulous research. In addition, while in questionnaires survey, the author takes the survey monkey, which is one of the most advanced Internet survey instruments and manages to offer the direct data to improve the reliability of conclusions.According to text analysis and user survey of the Biology AS and A2 textbook prepared by the British OCR Examinations Authority, the author found these books not only focus on improving scientific literacy of students, but also concerned to improve students exam level; not only to enhance the integrity of knowledge, but also to highlight the selection and convergence of content; not only to rich the column types in the teaching materials, but also to emphasize the novelty and utility of the columns types; not only to pay attention to the scientific spirit and rigor of language expression, but also to pay attention to the vividness and diversity of the language expression.I think our high school biology textbooks should reflect the Chinese characteristics firstly, and then do some efforts to learn from the experience of teaching materials in developed countries, absorbing its reasonable part, and to improve the overall staffing level of our high school biology textbooks. Based on the conclusions of this study, I give high school biology textbooks in China some recommendations, notably the following: extensive knowledge of teaching materials in the way; attention to the presentation of learning objectives and the correct expression; set exercises to reflect the difficulty of exams; focus on content selection and presentation of knowledge points; to strengthen knowledge and contacts and real-life applications.The findings and research methods in this study are worth reference by researchers with the same types of materials.
