Presently, China is in a social transitional period. With the continually deepening reform of our economic and social fields, mainstream culture is colliding with non-mainstream culture in the fields of ideology and culture. The formation and development of university students is facing a severe challenge. They are staying at the top layer of national education system. They are main constructers and main forces on the road of socialism with Chinese characteristics. They are quick thinking and open-minded so that they could be easily shaped. Whether or not they have this right outlook on life will not only affect the way they themselves grow up and the development of their intelligence, but also will affect social development and the future of China. The Chinese government is advocating the establishment of socialist core value system which will tremendously boost the development and prosperity of socialist culture as one of the most important factors relevant to the construction of socialist harmonious culture.
