Thus requiring universities pay more and more attention on integrated development of students in talents cultivation. Sports and sports culture which has functions of entertainment,fitness,education,regulating,encouragement,etc. has great driving force for students' sense of competition, the unique spirit and personality, self-esteem, self-confidence, and cultivating students' comprehensive quality. Therefore, as subculture of sports culture and campus culture, university campus sports culture is a rich and profound connotations of the extension of unique cultural phenomenon,also has important realistic significance to the research.This paper explains the concept, characteristics, function and structure of campus sports culture. Through research on historical and cultural traditions of our century-old campus sports culture. On century-old campus sports culture construction situation,investigating and research from several aspects such as the campus sports material culture, system culture, spirit culture and main body of campus sports culture creation.Found some problems,based on it, proposing conclution and suggestion.Using the methods of documentary , questionnaire investigation , interview method, the method of logical analysis, etc.Through the analysis of the literature, investigation and expert advice,summarizing the conclusions:1,Sports cultural heritage is not copy, but is spiritual heritage, this kind of spirit reflects on material level as the sports facilities,may also reflects on sports tradition and level of sports system. this spirit fits for basic spirit of the Chinese nation, which is positive,self-improving, is dedicated for group and our nation,is keep-moving changing spirit.2,Our century-old campus sports culture construction is still on gradually perfect process,While still has many problems in the material culture, system culture, spirit culture construction, Such as funds, facilities and views of sports and sports activities, etc。3,Main task of century-old campus sports culture construction at present is the construction of sports culture environment.On one hand is to strengthen the investment and construction of hardware facilities, On the other hand is school-class leadership, teachers, students' renew ideas。4,PE teachers' professionalism and quality improvement plays an important role in the century-old building process of campus sports culture,the ultimate goal of campus sports culture is to let students have lifelong sports consciousness, develop the habit of exercise consciously, But the teachers often focus on technical knowledge and guiding, Lacking of stimulating students' exercise interests, the guidance of lifetime sports consciousness。5,Summarizing present situation of the campus sports culture construction of our century-old universities , indicating two factors which restrict its development: Influence of traditional culture and limitations of knowledge is the subjective factor, the relatively weak economic foundation and the relative lack of teachers is the objective factor. Campus sports culture is a project which has a rich content,Cross penetration with other subjects,has great significance for the development of school,should cause enough attention. My research is very limited on the research and exploration.I hope that my research can let the school leader, the teachers,students and the PE teachers have a clear and complete understanding to our century-old school campus sports culture and its meaning for school developing let the century-old campus sports culture and our campus sports culture more prosperous.
