With the rapid development of the society and the intensification of reform in education, the cooperation between the class teacher and subject teachers in middle schools has become a hot issue. A good cooperation between them can make their work of educating students more efficient and also involve all the teachers in the school's moral education, thus achieving the essence of education, that is educating students. A good cooperation between the class teacher and subject teachers also fits in with the current educational philosophy of"students are the core of education", so the students can get more spiritual care from teachers and it contributes to a more harmonious relationship between teachers and students. It also goes with the current educational philosophy of"teachers are the core of teaching work", which is a very important way for a teacher to make progress in their profession. It can help improve the school's standards of management on all sides--- student management, teacher management and class management, leading to a better schooling quality. This essay goes deep into this problem on the basis of surveys on four different middle schools.This essay is divided into four parts.Part one: An introduction of its background,and the works I referred to in this essay.Part two:Contents and the design of the research,including some important definitions,the aims and the significance of this research as well as the approaches I adopted.Part three: Problems in the cooperation present between the class teacher and subject teachers in middle schools via questionaires and interviews together with analyses of these problems, which turn out to result from varieties of factors, such as individual teachers, schools and the society.Part four: Solutions to these problems, along with some practical suggestions about ways of cooperation, from two different angles-teachers the class teacher and subject teachers and the school administration.
