| The Ministry of Education's survey found that there exists a significant gap between the overall quality of college students and social demand in recent years. This can be mainly manifested in three aspects: college students can not combine what they have learned with the practice; they have lower psychological endurance; their cooperative and communicative capacities with others are very poor. A large number of previous studies have shown that extended training could have significant effects on improving the situation. So the starting point for topics of this article is whether the training conception can be introduced into public PE courses of higher education (hereinafter called PE), so that the two can be integrated both in content and in form, so that the traditional PE courses can enhance students'mental health and social adaptability under the premise of retaining its own advantages with a view to comprehensively improving the value of the course in promoting students'health.Based on experts'survey and the latest research results of extended training home and abroad, combined with the college PE courses status, this thesis makes a study on the necessity, feasibility, principles and patterns of extended training integrating into public PE courses from both theoretical and empirical aspects. Documentary analysis, interview, questionnaire survey, experimental method and mathematical statistics are all employed to complete the thesis. It is concluded as follows:1. Extended training integrating into public PE courses of higher education is necessary in the aspect of both health concept and enhancing value of public PE courses, meeting the needs of students and society.2. Extended training integrating into public PE courses of higher education is feasible in the aspect of both national policy support and the available space, equipment and teaching staff in regular institutions of higher education.3. The new teaching system constituted by extended training and college PE courses is superior to the traditional teaching system. There is a distinct advantage of improving students'mental health and of enhancing students'social adaptability, the latter being more prominent.4. Each sport itself in college PE courses can have a certain effect of improving mental health and social adaptability. But the psychological and social adaptability indicators can not be improved in a balanced way. The traditional teaching model of PE courses can not compensate for the various sports shortcomings in this regard, while the integrated new teaching model has played a complementary role.5. Among the three ways of extended training integrating with college PE courses (direct transplant, drawing on local resources, learning from each other), the second one has obtained the best experimental results. The reason is that it not only interlocks with the classroom, but also improves students'capacity of all-round development. In addition, direct transplant and learning from each other are secondary to it. |
