| ABSTRACTThe measurement and control device is one kernel part in the bay of substation automation system. With the capability of electrical system increasing, the former device can not yet satisfy?what the dispatching automation asks for the remote terminal unit on reliability, rapidity and accuracy. Based on researching and analyzing of the existed hardware platform project of domestic and overseas protection and measurement and control device, the thesis has put forward a new project and developed a new type device.To improve the reliability, the CAN bus has been adopted to improve the ability of anti-jamming. To improve the rapidity, a central manager has been designed specially for communication. With embedded Ethernet network interface, the device can be easily linked with the Ethernet network. To improve the accuracy, a 14-bit successive-approximation analog-to-digital converter (ADC) has been adopted instead of voltage-tofrequency converter (VFC) to compose the data acquisition system. To improve the flexibility, a great deal configured information has been used. Furthermore, the new big Liquid Crystal Display (LCD), which is able to display both character and graph, makes the man-machine interface friendlier. To make full use of information acquired, the new type device performs some new functions except basic functions such as remote measurement, remote signal, remote control and remote regulation.It is indicated that all targets come true as expected after having tested on the device. |
