| It is MPEG-2 that is a very important international standard for coding moving picture compress. MPEG-2 is applied in digital TV, DVD and HDTV. With digital TV, DVD and HDTV developing, MPEG-2 encode system was comprehensively researched and applied. This dissertation bring forward a solution to MPEG-2 encode system with MPEGS42O special moving picture compress chip and a realization in hardware of video compress for the encode system. The main contents of the dissertation include: 1. The description of various classical theory of picture compress. 2. The explanation for MPEG-2 algorithm, including system, video and audio. 3. Giving a solution of MPEG-2 encode system that consists of PC and three external cards. 4. Giving an implementation in hardware of video compress with MPEGS42O chip, comparing with DSP solution of MPEG-2 video compress. |
