Research And Performance Simulation Of Flow And Congestion Control In PRBN

After an overview of the development of packet radio network (PRN), the system function and general architecture of packet radio backbone network are outlined, including the function of packet radio backbone network(PRBN) , system architecture, protocol structure and the software and hardware components of Communications Control Unit(CCU). Secondly, the mechanism of flow and congestion control and the policy of it on different protocol levels are discussed. Then, with the features of Packet Radio Backbone Network, five algorithms of flow and congestion control are brought forward. At last, flowcharts of these five algorithms are explained in detail, and their performance is also simulated on personal computer.
