Research And Design On Web Information Retrieval System Based On Mobile Agent

With the large number of users and explosive information on Internet,the traditional web information retrieval mode is ineffective and blocks the development of Internet. So it promotes people to research and develop a new and more effective information retrieval method. The mobile agent has been receiving increasing attention in academy and enterprise during recent years. It has better flexibility,performance,reliance and scalability in dealing with distributed problem. This thesis mainly explores how to apply mobile agent to information retrieval area,and makes some elementary attempt on this problem.This thesis firstly introduces the conception of mobile agent,the architecture and technique of mobile agent,analyses the architecture of traditional web information retrieval system,then designs a model of mobile agent based web information retrieval system by combining the mobile agent technique and web information retrieval technique,and illustrates the required techniques to implement this model. In the end,this thesis introduces the design and implementation of a mobile agent based web information retrieval prototype:Mylragent,and proves by experiment that it achieves the desired goals.
