Research And Application Of Mobile Agent In Web Information Retrieval System

Along with the development of Internet, the volume of information on it becomes more and more tremendous. It is because of the distributive, open and heterogeneous of the Internet. At the same time, it makes users more and more difficult to get information accurately and timely. Therefore, how to improve traditional information retrieval methods so that make Web information retrieval system can rapidly and accurately find the required information, and reduce network communication volume becomes a hot research area.There are five kinds of the current web information retrieval systerm: based on catalogues, based on robot, based on client, primary search, distributing search. All these kinds are based on the model of client/server.That is why the current web information retrieva systerm has a lot of drawbacks like very depending on the state of network, and so on.Based on in depth analysis and study of the current status, development trends of web information retrieval system and mobile Agent technology, this thesis presents an architecture of mobile Agent based information searching engine, accomplished a detailed design of one important module, conducts in depth study some related key technologies, and offer the author's own opinion on how to solve some of the problems existed. Finally, the work done in this thesis is summarized, and application of prospects of mobile Agent in web information retrieval system is forecasted.
