Research On Control System Based On RS-485

The computer control system based on RS-485 is an automatic control system used for processing automation. The testing system, based on the analysis of the actual system, is developed from the application of automatic control technique, computer technique and network technique development. The whole system, through the network transmission, monitor and control many workstations simultaneously controlled by one computer whereas each station can perform testing independently and dose not interfere with each other.The computer is connected to RS-485 network through the COM port. 18 ADAM modules, each of which is connected to SCM, are connected to the network. The process of testing is achieved as follows: the SCM performs the task of data collection for the process of testing, the network transmits the data to the computer, the computer reacts correspondingly to the data and transmits control instructions to the SCM through the network.The site commissioning shows that the system is characterized by the reasonable design, stable performance, high reliability and simple operation for its software and hardware, and as a result, it has great value of application and popularization.
