| With the rapid progress of the production, science and technology, people has demanded that the automatic test systems have high performance include larger scale, high reliability and convenient data sharing. The computer network technique has provided a new way to satisfy these demands. Under this situation that how to use the advanced computer network technique to help to develop the automatic test system based on network has become an important research field of the test technique. Firstly the paper makes a survey of the development of automatic test system and the computer network technique, and indicates that it is significant to study the relative technique. Secondly from two aspects the paper makes in-depth research the automatic test system based on network. The important one of which is studying the TCP/IP instrument protocol and interface mapping specification authored by the VXIbus consortium, studying the realization technique of the protocol. Using the RPC Software Development Kit provided by Microsoft developed the software corresponding to the TCP/IP-IEEE488.1 Interface Specification, and finally built automatic test system based on network by using the software and the GPIB interface instruments. The second task is using the PCI interface NIC instead of the unfashionable ISA interface NIC to develop the TCP/IP-GPIB/RS232 interface converter device, with which the traditional GPIB/RS232 instrument could be connected intothe Ethernet directly and it is possible to control the GPIB/RS232 instruments through local area network. |
